Licenses Department

  • To inquire whether farmers selling agricultural produce have received timely payments from traders and to instruct the concerned parties accordingly and submit a report to the office.
  • To ensure that the weighing and measurement of farmers' produce is done correctly by the traders, and to ensure that there is no spillage or wastage of goods by the porters; to instruct the porters and concerned traders in this regard, take action, and maintain control over daily transactions.
  • To collect regular market fees and government supervision fees on agricultural produce purchased by traders and deposit the amount with the accounts department. To control illegal buying and selling and collect market fees and supervision fees.
  • To issue certificates to traders when necessary and immediately deposit the collected fees with the accounts department.
  • To record the accounts of agricultural produce purchases by traders in the register, prepare reports, and compile monthly arrival information. To submit this information to the inspection officer and the accounts department.
  • To provide daily market prices and information on outgoing goods to the computer department in writing every day.
  • To conduct auctions of agricultural produce brought by farmers to the market yard and complete the auction process daily.
  • To accept applications for new licenses and renewals, maintain annual accounts, accept license fees, provide instructions regarding the fulfilment of conditions, and submit license applications for approval with your opinion.
  • To implement the agricultural produce pledge scheme for farmers, taking appropriate responsibility for the pledged produce.
  • To perform tasks assigned from time to time by the Administrator/Chairman/Secretary/Assistant Secretary/Accountant.
