Accounts Department

  • Receiving amounts collected by employees and depositing them in the bank.
  • Maintaining daily cash book, ledger, and accounting records up-to-date.
  • Preparing monthly income and expenditure statements, balance sheets, and half-yearly, nine-monthly, and annual income and expenditure statements, and submitting them to the head office through the secretary within the stipulated time.
  • Making payments to the relevant departments for the committee's budget, annual report, contribution assessments, business tax, income tax, employee insurance, loan cases, loan installments, supplementary budget, etc., and submitting the information for approval within the deadline.
  • Submitting expenditure bills for approval, subject to the approved budget.
  • Taking precautions to ensure that all receipts, cash books, ledgers, expenditure vouchers, accounting registers, records related to movable and immovable property, and other necessary records related to the accounts department are not stolen, lost, or damaged, and making them available to senior officers, auditors, and inspecting officers as and when required.
  • Preparing employee salary bills and submitting them for approval. Also, depositing the amounts deducted from salaries for provident fund and other purposes.
  • Performing the duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the Hon'ble Administrator/Chairman/Secretary/Assistant Secretary, and handling all the duties and responsibilities of the Secretary and Assistant Secretary in their absence.
  • Others
